Huelin-Renouf History
Huelin Renouf has enjoyed a long history of shipping between the Channel Islands and the UK with 2009 seeing their brand new purpose built vessel, the MV Huelin Dispatch enter service amid preparations for their 2010 75th Anniversary.
Huelin-Renouf started life in 1935 as Channel Island Services ltd. to handle sea freight for Jersey builder's and produce merchant J.W.Huelin.
In 1972 Channel Island Services amalgamated with J.G. Renouf - a prominent Jersey shipping agents, brokers and road hauliers to become what we know today - Huelin-Renouf Shipping.
Over the years Huelin-Renouf has developed into a leading Cross Channel cargo shipper and haulier, carrying a large proportion of the cargo to and from the islands.
Since 1982 Huelin-Renouf has operated their own vessels, increasing cargo capacity as newer and larger ships have been brought into service. It has become a Company tradition to always name their ship "Huelin Dispatch", after a 19th Century clipper that served these waters.
September 2009 has seen a big step for Huelin-Renouf with the introduction of a second ship to the cross channel service - The Huelin Endeavour. The introduction of this second ship now allows daily freight sailings between Southampton and the Channel Islands.
